Nombor Tiga Puluh Tujuh : The Roadtrip and The Lahanats

Yes, you read it right. The roadtrip and the Lahanats.

Tapi si Edi pulak cakap kalau tak datang Melakau, suruh tunjuk surat mati. Mana aku nak cari woi?! So, ke Jengka dan Melaka lah kita. Yeay to roadtrip!

Sepanjang 23 tahun hidup, tak pernah aku pegi Jengka. Sebelum tu menyinggah isi minyak dan drive thru mcD breakfast dulu. Baru sedap sikit nak berjalan jauh, ye dak?

Perjalanan ke Jengka agak lancar kecuali berlaku sedikit kekalutan di highway Karak sampaikan si Hanes terpaksa take over drive kereta. Aku ni macam dah nak gugur jantung takut Karim sakit tengah jalan T_T Lepas aku tengok keadaan adalah terkawal, masa untuk meng-qada tidur.

Zass zass sampai part kenduri. Tapi dah sampai baru nak cuak apehal? Redah! Dan aku menjadi forever alone makan sorang-sorang sebab tempat makan lelaki dgn pempuan asing-asing T____________T (nasib baik ada 2 makcik join meja aku, takde la loser sangat kot?)

Lepas dah kenyang baru gi mengadap pengantin. Mujur sangat dia kenal. Kalau tak memang kena lempang tengkok dah!

bawak orang yg dah 4 tahun tak makan kenduri (2 dari kiri). Selamat pengantin baru, Hadi & Ipah!

Sampai Melaka pun dah senja sangat. Terus menuju ke Klebang sebab si Edi dgn si Paiseh dah tunggu sana. Zass!

(Sebenarnya agak nervous jugak sebab aku tak pernah lagi mengadap si Edi ni, aku taktau puaka dia level mana walaupun dah bertahun jugak kenal dlm internet. Kak Peri pernah jumpa sekali masa wedding Paiseh. Si Paiseh pulak dah 2x kot? Entah~)

Tak sempat nak stretch pinggang, aku dah kena sedas dengan Edi. "Eh Azie, kau nampak kurus lah!" MACAM LAHANAT SANGAT PADAHAL JUMPA PUN TAK PERNAH!

Lepak-lepak tepi pantai pekena coconut shake hasil perbelanjaan si Hanes (tak sedap langsung tapi sebab orang belanja, sedap jugak lah) sementara tunggu kak Peri datang.

Aku dok mengidam asam pedas Hajah Mona je ni. Si Hanes kabor tengah malam pun ada lagi. Ok je lah kalau gitu.

Satu benda best masa kat kedai makan adalah aku duduk tepi si Hanes. Selera orang baru balik dari negara luar ni memang macam-macam. Jadi aku tumpang cedok saja. Hehehe~ Sepanjang tengok bola tu, aku taktau la berapa bakul carutan yang terkeluar. But, it was fun! :D

Lepas makan, golongan kanak-kanak dah kepenatan. Makanya si bapak-bapak dah sepakat untuk pegi enjoy dan tinggal anak bini kat hotel. Nasib baik bini sporting!

Makanya, sesi melahar bersambung ke Jonker Walk. Aku suka sangat Jonker Walk sebab rasa sungguh ke-Melaka-an (bukan kecelakaan, ye?). Berjalan tak tentu hala sambil bergelak macam orang gila, haih. (Rindu, tahu?)

Berjalan tanpa arah tujuan
Takyah mintak jadi model, memang diorang offer diri~

Ingatkan dah nak habis kan? Rupanya seorang warga tua request nak makan satay celup pulak dah..ok zass ke uptown Melaka. Lepak la seround kat meja gerai satay celup yang diiringi air berkabonat sorang sebotol. Gelak punya gelak dah dekat pukul 2 pagi woi!

Makanya, menyinggah utk tapau asam pedas bawak balik sebab kenyang lagi nak makan kat situ pun. Lepas tapau, aku dah tergolek kat belakang sebab migraine melampau.

Aku tersedar bila kereta berenti. Keri singgah RnR Ayer Keroh sebab mengantuk sangat drive.

Sampai rumah tepat 9.30 pagi. Cukup 24jam roadtrip kali ni. Aku koma atas katil dari pukul 10pagi sampai 4petang. Letih gila. Tapi senyum sorang-sorang bila ingat balik.

Woi the Lahanats!
Thanks for the great memories.
Semoga ada rezeki untuk kita jumpa lagi.
Kampung tepi tasik jom? :DD

The Lahanats 2012 (Paiseh, Peri, Hanes, Azie, Keri & Edi)

* Lahanat tu asalnya dari si Hanes. Beliau sebut lahanat tu memang deep sungguh! Kalah orang Melaka pior~

Nombor Tiga Puluh Enam : Bangkok Day 1

I am so free tonight, so I think I should start blogging again since my memories are getting worse these few days. I misplaced my TnG card, twice. And sometimes, I left my phone everywhere. That's another story. Now, let's move on to another story that I wish I would never forget for the rest of my life. Travelling.

After almost a year of planning, with lots of obstacles, both Adila and I safely landed in Suvarnabhumi (read as Suvarnabhum without the i) after 2 hours of flight from LCCT. 1 word for Suvarnabhumi Airport; it's HUGE. They were 3 of us, Adila, Keri and I. Keri joined us later. There's a bit drama happened while we were waiting for Keri to touch down. I asked Dila to take care of our backpacks in surau/muslim prayer room (level 2) and I went off to look for Keri. After standing for 1 hour (stupidly) in front of the arrival hall (there are 2 arrival halls for international flights, B & C) and did some mini marathon between gate B & C, I finally saw him. I can breath easily after that. So, let's go!

Welcome to Suvarnabhumi International Airport

MRT station

We booked a dorm at De Talak Hostel (female dorm for Dila & I, mix dorm for Keri) through Agoda. It costs us THB200/pax/night. It is 10mins walk from Queen Sirikit MRT. All I can say, it's totally worth it! Let the pictures do the talking.

After a short nap, we went out to look for food. We were extremely hungry since our last meal was the breakfast). Our hostel owner named Rata is so helpful. She even wrote us a note on where to find halal food. Then, we decided to go to Terminal 21 ( accessible by BTS Sukhumvit). All I can say about Terminal 21 is it's pretty awesome. Different level with different theme. Click here for more info.

The food court is on the 5th floor, it's called Pier 21. You can easily spot a halal stall if you turn left from the excavator. The menu is quite limited, but I can say that it is extremely cheap! Buried chicken with yellow rice (just like nasi bukhari) costs around THB35 (it's RM3.50!). We had buried chicken rice, papaya salad (too spicy for me) and sticky mango rice. All of 'em only cost us less than RM10 per person! *grinning* They use  a reload card system, just like Touch&Go card. You can reload as much as you want and it valids for 3 days. You can refund the balance if there is, no worries.

After happily bloated ourselves, we went for a stroll around the mall. There comes the least favorite part in our trip. We met a family from middle east (I guess). A man, a woman with a 10yo kid asking for a direction to find halal food. We were more than happy to help. Then, the man asked "where are you guys coming from?" when we said we are from Malaysia, they looked so excited. They said they are going to Malaysia after Bangkok. They are planning to go to Langkawi (as what being told by the wife). After that. the woman  asked Dila & I whether we have RM since they never see one. I was about to open my sling bag then suddenly I realized wth am I doing? Then I quickly turned to Keri and saw him opening his "secret wallet". Oh man, that's not good! I went and say sorry because we changed all our RM to THB. I was scared to death. Then the family just left without bothering to ask for the direction for halal food. Pfft! I was glad because I kept our emergency in a good place before we went out. Tips: find a good backpack with hidden pockets.

Then, we decided to go to Asiatique as suggested by the hostel owner. Asiatique is a night market facing Chao Phraya river. We have to take a shuttle boat (it's FREE!) from Saphan Thaksin to Asiatique. No worries, you can easily spot the boat with small Asiatique flag.  As we boarded the boat, it was raining cats and dogs! We were almost soaked up but thanks to RM5 raincoat from Daiso! *tips : for light packing, bring raincoat instead of umbrella*

There's nothing interesting in Asiatique for us (most probably because of the heavy rain and tiredness). We left after 1/2 hour and went back to the hostel and have a rest before tomorrow adventure!

To be continued (I have bad memories, pardon me if I don't)
